News Bowl current events curriculum is "Lifelong Learning Education For All Abilities."
News Bowl has two products:
- Weekly jeopardy news quiz game and PowerPoint game
- Monthly Online News Brain Challenge
The Weekly jeopardy style game works effectively in the regular classroom and the Special Education setting because the activity promotes group problem solving. The activity also teaches acceptable social interaction, peer interaction and learning from others. The activity can be used daily or weekly. The lifelong learning activity helps fight student apathy through a fun team atmosphere. Students in grades 4-high school love to play News Bowl Weekly. CLICK HERE FOR A SAMPLE GAME.
The Monthly Current Events News Brain Challenge works effectively in the regular classroom and also is very popular in the gifted education or "differentiated" learning classroom. The league promotes lifelong learning, peer tutoring, cooperative learning, peer interaction and self learning. The News Brain Challenge is a school and national competition as students are tested monthly on current events. Students love the News Brain Challenge and develop a motivation to become self learners. Schools enter the News Brain Challenge by grade level (grades 3-high school divisions) and are allowed to test as many students as they wish each month. For enrollment information, CLICK HERE.
Thank you for perusing our educational site. If you have questions about either one of our two products, please contact us by phone or email.
